Class 4 Vapour Permeable House/Building Wrap 

Suitable for all building classifications (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,9), where the primary structure is timber or steel framing.

A fire retardant building wrap suitable for all frame and cladding systems with or without a cavity. Also rated as a Class 4 vapour barrier.

A synthetic, breathable underlay will be part of the new NCC build systems in Australia.

Quality Building Wrap

A non-woven fire retardant, water resistant, breathable synthetic wall underlay for use under direct fixed and non-direct fixed wall cladding on timber framed and steel framed buildings.

Anti Fungal Properties

Has unique anti fungal properties.

Resists UV Exposure

Manufactured from high quality synthetic spun bonded material with high UV qualities to resist UV exposure for up to 60 days.

Applications

• Use where a fire retardant wrap is required. It performs well with all cladding systems and over timber or steel framing

• Is absorbent and can be used with absorbent and non-absorbent cladding.

• Suitable as a non rigid backing for stucco plaster.

• Suitable as an air barrier on walls that are not lined.

• Can be used on unlined gable ends.

• Vertical use only. Not suitable as a roof underlay.

Fire Performance

Flammability Index Low (≤5) Tested in accordance with AS1530.2-1993 – Methods for fire tests on building materials, components, and structures Part 2: Test for flammability of materials.

Bushfire Attack Levels

Complies with AS3959-2018, construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas. Seek independent advice regarding the selection of sarking prior to installation in the BAL design.
